Run program that is already open

I am wanting to create in my PowerPoint slide, a button that will open up a
program that is already opened. I know, how to make the button open it for
the first time, but I am not sure how to make it keep using the existing
program that was opened. Would this require using the VBA inside of PP to
get this done?

Easiest to just press Alt-Tab until you hit the open program. Then you can
Alt-tab back into the Slideshow.

ALT+TAB will switch to the next open program. If you only have two things
open (this program and PowerPoint), ALT+TAB will switch back and forth as
much as you need. No buttons or VBA code needed!

I know I can alt-Tab to the program, but I am recording these slides and do
not want to see a atl-tab screen in the recording. That is why I am wanting
to create a button. All I want this button to do is pull up a program that
is minimized. Then I will minimize it back down and continue with the
recording.
