Running Office 2003, upgrading to MS Project 2007

Our workgroup is planning to upgrade to Project 2007, but most of the group
will still be running the rest of the office suite in 2003. Are there any
known compatibility issues, or problems with this? Our project files reside
on a share drive.

None that I know of. If some users still have Project 2003, then upgrade
them to Project 2003 SP3 which lets them open Project 2007 format files.

Hey there ,

I have found loss of some reporting functionality when using excel
2003 with Visual Reports in MSP 2007

Hi alberta,
like projman, i too have experienced problems with conversions from MSP2007
to MSP2003 SP3. Additional rows, Summary level structures changing, dates
changing (not as a result of different calendars) have all been noted.

My advice...upgrade all MSP users to 2007 and don't trust in the converter

Does this mean I should be able to open MS Project 2007 templates from
Microsoft's website in my MS Project 2003 installation? I haven't been
successful downloading them even though I have SP3 installed.

Thanks,
