Because of a read-only font problem, can I run PowerPoint

Yes. In fact, I have four versions installed on my system. However, you'll
need to uninstall Office 2003, then install PowerPoint 2002, and then
re-install PowerPoint 2003. Make sure that you do a "custom" install so
that you control what applications and features are installed and what is
retained.

In addition to Sonia's advice, be sure to install the different versions
to different folders on your drive. For instance, put XP in a folder
called OfficeXP and 2003 in a folder called Office2003.
