S-Video vs. VGA cable

I have the ability to use either cable. Is there a difference in speed or
resolution? I have a lot of video clips in my PPT.

using an S-video cable would give you TV-quality (approx 500 lines)

using a VGA cable would give you the same quality as your 'desktop' which is
probably a lot higher than TV quality. (approx 800 lines at least)

Definitely the VGA output. You will of course want to adjust your video
card driver to match the resolution to that of the projector.
