save preview picture

The Word document properties dialog (File | Properties) offers the user an
option to "Save preview picture" for saving a bitmap of the document that is
shown in Explorer's Thumnail view among other things. I want to toggle this
value using automation but I can find no property, or method, or document
property that enables me to do this. Can it be done?

Your research is correct: there is no equivalent to this option in the Word
(or Office) object model. Best you could do is to use SendKeys...
