save slide show

how do you save a power point slide show so that when you open it you
automatically see the slide show. everytime i save it comes up like a
work in progress, i would like to open it and just see the slides.

Either save the presentation as a PowerPoint Show (.pps) or from within
Explorer, change the file extension of your presentation from .ppt to .pps There
is no difference in the presentation, only in the way that it opens.

To the contrary, if you use the method described by Michael, the
presentation will open in Slide Show mode when opened from the desktop. Try
it and I'm sure you will be convinced. Open Windows Explorer, rename your
file, giving it a file extension of .PPS, and then double click on the file.

If this doesn't work for you, come on back and let us know and we'll help
you correct your file association.
