saving changes to word doc on CD-RW

I created several word docs and saved them on a CD-RW. When I make changes
to those documents and then try to save the changes, I'm told that the disc
is full or too many files are open. I have only used about 100 MB with those
documents so I can't be out of space. I have no problem saving excel doc
changes, only with word docs. Any help would be appreciated.

Word treats all CDs as WORM media. You cannot write directly to a CD from
Word.
