Saving clipboard after exiting Word 2003

Is there a way to save the clipboard contents after I
close Word 2003 so that I can have a number of items
ready to paste the next time I open Word?

If you keep an Office program such as Outlook open, the clipboard keeps its memory. But closing all Office programs clears the Clipboard.
