Saving document without pictures

oe

I have created a document with eight photographs (jpg) arranged on an A4
page. Having printed it to send by post to someone, I would like to save the
document but decrease the size by not saving the photographs within it (the
originals are on a separate drive on my PC.

How to I achieve this, please?

TIA

If you insert the pictures as links to the files on your drive (without
embedding), the recipient will see a red X instead of the picture.

No - I am posting the hard copy to my sponsor child in Africa! I just want
to save the document so that I know which photos I have sent him.

Link to the pictures, save the document, use Ctrl+A to select everything,
then use Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink the pictures from their source then email
the document and close it without saving it.

Sorry. I misread your question, but the answer is still the same. If you
link the photos, the pictures will not be saved with the document, which
will reduced file size. Also, you will be able to press Alt+F9 and see the
path to the photo if necessary.
