NEVER save directly from Word to a CD. Save to your hard disk, then burn to
CD separately. Otherwise you get corrupt and unusable documents.

Hi =?Utf-8?B?Z2FyZHJlZA==?=,

and to print there when needed. Is this possible.Yes...

The tricky part is making the Master Doc recognize the sub-documents on relative paths.

Steve Hudson posted the answer to this quite a while ago; let's see if I remember the
steps correctly.

1. Start a new document from the common template; this will be the Master Doc; save it to
the same folder with the SubDocs

2. Go into the Outline View and display the Master Doc toolbar

3. Click the button to bring in a sub-document saved as a separate file and navigate to
the correct folder

4. Now CANCEL the dialog box without inserting the Sub-doc.

5. Repeat 3 again, but this time select and insert the sub-doc.

Even though Word still shows you an absolute path, it should have stored internally that
this is a relative path (same folder). Test by moving the files to another folder and open
the Master Doc; you should be able to expand the sub-doc.

Hi Steve,
Them brain cells aint so rusty after all :)
I wish I were certain of that :) A bit of advice I gave in
office.developer.vba has made me want to creep into a hole
<sigh>

Glad I at least got this one right <g>

Quick - do a quick count. If you have two arms, two legs, two eyes and
walk upright you are a human. Part of the definition includes
imperfection; if you are doing better than 90% than you are
transcending your natural state through concerted effort :)

*I* think you rock, who cares if you fluff once or twice a year :)
