Saving my presentation and its not responding! HELP!!!

I've learned in the past to try and save pages as I went along. Of course
this last time I have some 20 slides not saved and I save as and the program
freezes. After ten minutes, I see that the program is not responding! I am
petrified that I am going to loose everything! I have recently upgraded to
Microsoft Office 2007 and I dont see a recovery tool in the menu! Am I going
to loose everything??
