Scanned field type as an OLE object

I have a table in my database that is used to scan
original documents that will serve as a permanent record.
I scan these documents into an OLE Obkect field as a JPEG
file from my scanner. This is using up way too much
memory. My scanner is an HP that can scan to different
file types, but this seemed to be the only one that
worked and allowe me to print reports properly in the
JPEG format. Does anyone have a suggestion?
