Scanning documents

I'm not sure where the correct place to put this question is but hopefully
someone will direct me.
I have a scanner attached to my computer which I use through the Scanner &
Camera Wizard that comes with Windows (I'm assuming that's where it belongs).
If I want to scan a multipage document, I can do this through the doc feed on
the scanner but the scanner wizard produces individual files for each page.
I want to be able to scan multiple pages into one document. I can't see any
options in the wizard to allow me to do this
Any ideas, I'm happy to look at other software to make this possible.
I have a huge amount of scanning to do for a society I'm in to preserve
their history.

thanks

Most likely the scanner came with software you'd need to scan multiple pages
into a single document (probably PDF or TIFF format).

Check the installation instructions that came with the scanner.

If you are using Office 2007 or Office 2003, Office Document Scanning allows
you to select a prompt for mutliple pages. Suspect Office Document Imaging
does also.

Acrobat allows you to scan mutliple pages into one PDF file. Also you can
combine existing files into one PDF file. Other full feature PDF programs
also can scan multiple pages {you need to check the features of the specific
program}.
