Schedule portion of days

I have tasks that will be completed over a multliple-day period. However, the
resources assigned to the task will only work a part of each day on the task.
How do I allocate that with Project?

There are a couple of ways to handle that, depending on exactly what you
mean when you say "the resource ... will only work part of each day." Do
you mean that the resource is a part-time employee who only works, say, 4
hours per day or do you mean that the resource works a regular work day but
has other duties that require some of his time, leaving only, against just
for example, 4 hours per day to spend on this particular activity?

Sorry for not being more clear. The employees are full-time but only working
a portion of a day on any given task. The duration needs to stay the same and
I need to be able keep an eye on over allocations.
