Screen Redraws every 10 seconds. Any suggestions?

My suggestion, go to the manufacturer's web site of your video/graphics card and
look around for an updated driver.

I have the latest video drivers and a 128 meg Nvidia Geforce 6800.
My PC has 2 gigs of RAM, and XP pro has all the latest updates.

This is a new problem as I have used Pub for years without issues.

The problem also happens in Excel. (Screen redraws every 10 seconds).

The problem does not happen in non-office applications.

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What version Publisher?
Most common reason is that you have a dead mapped drive set up. Open Windows
Explorer and remove any redundant or inaccessible mapped drives.
