scroll rate

Whenever I'm trying to highlight a large block of text, teh scroll rate in Word is so fast that I can't stpop at the point I'm trying to -- the cursor simply zips to the very end of the document.

Is there any way to adjust or modify teh cursor scroll rate? Is this an Office issue or a Windows/Control Panel issue

I seem to have the smae problem in Excel.

Click with the left mouse and the beginning of the block that you want to
select, then use the scroll bar to scroll until the end of the block comes
into view and then hold down the Shift key and click on that location.
