scrolling text in word 2000

I have just tried to use scrolling text in word 2000 and get an error
message saying that "the server application, source file, or item cannot be
found. Make sure the application is properly installed and that it has not
been deleted, moved or renamed."

Any ideas ?

Previous documents created with scrolling text do not display the portion of
scrolling text when opened.

Are you using Windows XP with SP2? A security fix
in that Service pack has disabled the .OCX (Active X)
control that manages the Office scrolling text.
