I often use the 'Find' bar to look for messages, but recently I have cause
to question how it works. I'd always assumed that it searched the header of
every message, so entering the domain part of an email address would find
all message to (or from) people with addresses that contained the domain.
It now appears to not be that case as I recently had to look for all
messages I'd sent to a particular company, (knowing that all their email
addresses had the @company.co.uk domain), but this didn't pick up a message
that I then found manually. The search string was in the email address in
the 'To' field so I can only assume that the normal Find doesn't look in the
header.
Is this correct? It seems a really daft restriction as the scenario I gave
above is a very common and basic search.
How can I achieve this without having to do an Advanced Find?
