Search for file names with certain criteria

From Open/Tools/Search, I am trying to find all the presentation files on my
computer that the file name begins with the letter 'e'? Everytime I try I
just get all the files that contain the letter 'e'.

What if instead of just searching for e, you searched for "e*.pp*" (without
the quote marks)? - This should get you any PowerPoint file that starts with
the letter e and has an extension that matches one of the PowerPoint ones.

That search function is somewhat limited. You can file files that have a
filename that contains the letter e, but not just the ones that start with
e.

You may be better off using the Start => Search => Files & folders =>
"e*.ppt" (without quotes)

True of 'Start => Files => Search', but not of 'Open => Tools => Search =>
Filename', Kathy.

Better to stand. Puts you in a better position to swing if needed or throw
food in a food fight. (couldn't help it sorry)
