I had a search/options bar just above my contacts...There was an "x" next to
the word options...I clicked it and closed out the bar...I cannot figure out
how to restore it. Can anyone out there help?

Outlook version and the view to which you are referring would be
pre-requisites for an answer. A clearer description of what you mean would
help too.

All right...Let's try this...Microsoft Outlook 2003 ver 11.5608.5606...Part of Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003:

Problem: When in the contacts section of Outlook there was a bar that was
attached to the very top of the section that displays the word contacts. On
this bar was a search field and a "Look in" field. On the right side of the
bar was the word "options" and an "x" to close the bar. I had clicked the
"x" and closed the bar. I now cannot find a way to restore this particular
bar. Right clicking above or on the bar does not give me any options for that
bar. I do get "Standard" "Advanced" "Web" and "Customize" choices. But this
menu bar seems to be strictly part of the contacts section of outlook. I
hope that this is a clearer description.

Never Mind...found it...Tools>Find>Find restores the bar.

Sounds like the Find a Contact function. You should easily be able to
customize your toolbar to add it back.
