Search will not turn up older emails - indexing problem?

I have had this problems since I switched from Office 2003 to Office 2007 in
December. My Outlook searches will only turn up emails since December - not
before. Same goes for WDS. The older emails are certainly in there - just not
turning up in the searches.
I tried re-indexing machine - same problem. I tried looking to see if the
PST file was corrupt but since this is a company machine, there is no .pst
file to correct. THis has got our IT guys baffled too.

I tried all the suggestions at that address on a prior occasion. Again there
was no pst file to correct and rebuilding the index didn't help.

Even when you choose Restore Defaults?
As you are using Exchange you need to scan or rebuild your ost-file instead.
