Section break

If I want to make a manual page break I use Ctrl+enter.
Is there a way to make a manual section break without going to insert,
break, section break?

Unfortunately, no, probably because there are several different kinds of
section break. But you can often force Word to insert the appropriate kind
of break for you (for example, if you select text and change the number of
columns or the page orientation), and presumably you could write or record a
macro to insert a specific type of break and assign it to a keyboard
shortcut of your choice.

I have InsertColumnBreak, InsertSectionBreak, InsertSectionBreakOdd,
InsertSectionBreakCont, etc all listed as options in the keyboard pane of
Tools | Customize (MacWord 2004), which would allow assigning a keyboard
shortcut.

Does WinWord not?

Nope. I have InsertColumnBreak and InsertSectionBreak (no Odd, Even, or
Continuous options).

Huh. Good to know. I'm pretty sure Word 2001 didn't have them, though Word
X (between 2001 and 2004) does. Wonder what InsertSectionBreak does.
