Section page numbering

I am building an automated contract generator using VBA. I currently have
multiple documents in one file. The main document contains 2 sections and
there can be 1 or 2 additional addendum documents that can be added depending
on the options selected by the user.

The footer of the main documents contains page x of y where y is set to
wdFieldSectionPages. When the main document is created, the first section
contains 4 pages so the page numbering is 1 of 4 etc. The page numbering of
the 2nd section (also 4 pages long) starts at Page 5 of 8.

Is there any way that I can renumber the document so the 1st section shows
Page 1 of 8, 1 of 8 etc?

It would be nice to keep multiple documents in the same physical file so
that sales can print just one file instead of tracking multiple files. My
alternative plan will be to move the addendum to a separate file and use
FieldNumPages to number the main document.

What happens if you change wdFieldSectionPages to wdFieldNumPages?

I get the total number of pages in the file. The footer on the main document
shows at total of 11 pages when the main contract document contains only 9
and the attachment contains 2 pages.

Using VBA code I have been able to get the numbering correct on the
attachments using wdFieldSectionPages.
