Selective levelling

For example:
I have Resource1 assigned to Task1 and Task2 and resource level this as per
normal..
I also have Resource1 and Resource2 both assigned to Task3.
(All tasks repeated several times)

Now, is it possible to level such that I get the normal levelling on Task1
and Task2. But only level based upon overallocations of Resource2 on Task3
and ignore overallocations of Resource1 on this task.

I hope I have explained my question properly.

Thanks

Hi,

In the Resource Sheet view insert the column Can Level
Set to No for Resource1
HTH

Won't that prevent leveling occuring for Resource1 on Task1 and Task2? It
is only on Task3 that I want to prevent Resource1 being leveled but still
level for Resource2.

Hi,

That's tricky.
Re-reading your post, I don't even know any more what exactly you expect.

(a) you want the work of R1 on T3 to stay where it is, but you want to take
it into account for leveling T1 and T2.
In that case, in the task usage view, make sure the work of R1 on T3 is
registered as Actual Work (and the option Level assignments is On)
(b) You want to ignore the workload of R1 on T3 altogether.
Then create a dummy resource R1B and replace R1 ion T3 by R1b
Hope this helps,
