send a fax in word 2007

Same as in any other application. 'Print' to the fax driver.

For starters you need to have some form of fax software installed - with
Windows XP, this is just a matter of installing Windows Fax - I suspect
there will be something similar in Vista. If not you will have to install
third party software. Once that is present file > print - pick the Fax
driver - probably called 'Fax' and click OK. The fax wizard runs and you
follow the on screen prompts.

In Vista Home Premium there is no option to add/delete the baisc program and to install the fax capability. I am using Home and Student 2007 Office Word. Any ideas on how to turn on the fax capability?

Vista Home Premium does not include the fax software. You will either have
to upgrade Vista or use third party fax software.
