Hello,
I will try my best to explain the issue so that hopefully someone can
help me.
In my orginization we don't use exchange for our email. our email is
outsourced outside the company. our domain for our company is
companynamecorp.com but or email addresses for our users are
companynamecc.com. notice the diffrence of corp.com for the domain and cc.com
for the email.
when i first setup sharepoint we were using Sharepoint Portal Server
2003 (SPS 2003). when i wanted to add a new user to a site i would go to the
"add users" and eneter their email address (e-mail address removed) and it
would find our user in our active directory, fill in their AD username and
then send a welcome email to their address at (e-mail address removed).
Due to the DST change this year i upgraded the SPS 2003 server to the
latest Sharepoing server 2007 (MOSS 2007) and now when i add users it ALWAYS
wants to send the welcome emails to the user using the domain name as the
email address ([email protected]) which does not exist and the user
never gets the welcome email which is a big problem in my company.
Does anyone know how i can get MOSS 2007 to send the welcome emails to
the users real address ([email protected]) again like it used to do in
SPS 2003??
I am really desperate so any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
