Send to Database & Post with one form

Is it possible to send information from a form into a database as well
as post it to the next page?

I have a form that send the information into a database, however on
the next step I would like to pass along some of the information from
the first form. I believe this can be done with a post, however I'm
not sure how to send the information to the database AND post to the
following page with the same form.

This makes the site not as user-friendly as I would like.

Do you have any advise?
