Sending Attachments fragments file

I've run several antivirus scans on my computer. But...
when I attach a file to an email it fragments it sending
multiple emails with (1/5), (2/5), kind of things behind
my subject.

Has anyone ever heard of this, or can help me!!???

Sounds like you have your mail program set to break apart messages larger
than a given size.
