Sending Attachments such as an Excel file in an email

I am using Outlook2000 and when I send Excel files as attachments in my email; certain recipients receive the attachment and some do not. Do I need to install something to fix this? If so, what specific item(s).

Nope, this doesn't sound like an issue on your side but on theirs. They
should check whether they are able to receive attachments in the first
place. Also when your Excel sheet holds any macro's it's very likely that
the virusscanner on their mailserver drops the attachments as it is a
potential risk to their environment.
