Outlook 2003/ winXP /laptop

just recently I've noticed that everytime I compose an email and hit send,
the email goes to my outbox. However it will not send (no matter how many
time I hit send/recieve (with no errors) untill I manually go to the outbox,
open each message and hit send. I've checked my send/recieve groups, and
everything appears to be in order. Whats the deal? This only seemed to
start happening yesterday or today. I haven't installed anything lately.
Thoughts...
