sending outlook mail from home

I can retrieve mail in outlook from home, but cant
send...or send test message. It all works fine at work,
where I am on a network and useing Lotus Notes.

It is a standard pop mail account that I use for personal
stuff.

Please anyone, help I always have this problem, it is
killing me.

If you are trying to "reply" to a mail you received at work while you are at
home, you won't be able to do so. I ususally click on "reply" and then do a
regular "to" address lookup so it will send from my default pop3 account. If
you can't send anything from home I would guess you do not have your
settings correctly set for your pop3 account. My Comcast settings, for
example, are "mail.comcast.net" and "smtp.comcast.net." Good luck.
