Sent Folder in Outlook 2002 Causes Lockup...

Recently I have been unable to open by double clicking
the Sent folder in Outlook 2002. I have two subfolders
under the Sent folder and I can their contents just
fine. I have e-mails in the main Sent folder which I
can't open or access. Each time click on the main Sent
folder to open it, Outlook locks up and I get the "this
program must close - send report" error. Anyone have
any ideas on why this might be occuring?? TIA
