Separate Office settings for different users

My mother and father have different preferences for the layout etc in MS Word
and Excel. How can I re-install (or change the setup) of MS Office v2003 so
they can have their own configured settings in MS Word and MS Excel. For
example in MS Word different preferences under Tools, Options.

Use separate Windows Logins for them. Then set each person's Office program preferences.

Hi Milly

Thanks for your reply. I have already done that. But when Dad makes a change
it affects Mum. So what do you mean by "set each person's office program
preferences"? How do I do that? I suspect that everything may be under the
"All Users" settings.

They each need to have their own copy of Normal.dot.

Thanks. My new questions are:
1. in what folder should normal.dot reside?
2. if I have MS Office already installed, how to I make it recognise a new
user?

Thanks/gary

Usually in, say:

J:\Documents and Settings\Howard Kaikow\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

Users are defined via the Operating system.
When each user logs in, they get a separate Documentsand Settings directory.
