Server rename hosed Project Server

K

Kevin Lisboa

My company's NT Server Administration team renamed our
Project Server development box and now we cannot access
the application from any remote workstations.

I've reverted the server back to its original name, and
can only access the environment from the server box - not
from any remote workstations using Domain Authentication.

I'm just learning the application and how to administer
it, so my knowledge is quite limited at the moment.

Has anyone run into this or have some insight on how to
troubleshoot it?

Thanks,
Kevin Lisboa

Kevin:

Go to http://download.microsoft.com and search on "Site Editor" and download
the tool. Search on the same name in the knowledge base to find the article
that tells you how to create multiple Project Server sites which also
explains a lot about the structure of the application and how to use the
tool. Essentially you need to cleanup your registry and the tool helps you
do this.
