service lock

We had some work done on our computers (donated to us)and
now I am unable to get into my web files to change our
website. I get a service lock message when I try to open
the files. Any suggestions?

What's the exact message?

Sometimes the service.lck file gets "stuck" and you have
to go on the Web server and delete it. If the file's in
use, you may have to stop the Web server and then delete
it.

But if the FrontPage Server Extensions can't create the
file, you may need to fix permissions on the Web server.
running Server Health with all check boxes selected may
solve this, otherwise consult:
