Service Pack 2 and Banner Ad Manager

Rae

I have 2 banner ads on my web that work fine until I
install Service Pack 2 (I have already
uninstalled/reinstalled once to see if I did it right the
first time). Is there a compatability issue? I have
double-checked all my settings, and everything seems
fine. (I use Sun's Java, if it matters) Also, if it's
possible that my customers will have the same problem,
should I even try to use banner ads?

SP2 changes many of the security settings in the local machine browser and
browser settings to high, which will, by default, turn off Java.

In addition, many Windows XP and IE6 browsers no longer come with a Java
Virtual Machine, so your ad banners will not be seen.

Thanks for the info, Tom. I am certain that because most
of my customers use IE, I should not use this feature.
However in my case, a. I have made sure my security
settings allow Java, and b. I have installed Sun's Java.
Java should work in my browser.
I am not seeing any Java applets. This tell's me that
perhaps Microsoft has done something else to ensure that
Java will no longer work on their systems.
Is anyone else having a similar experience?
