So, in the end, you found it was NOT an Outlook problem, corrected it in the
proper place (not Outlook) and are again a happy camper.

| Tha problem has been resolved. As you suggested, I went into IE
| search, and changed everything that I was allowed to change. Also,
| I went into Microsoft Anti-Spyware and changed BHO settings, i.e.,
| changing anything that may have been hijacked. Outlook now goes to
| Google search page.
