Setting form dimensions

T

Tony

Hello

I wish to set the dimensions of some of my forms to around 12cm by 8cm on my
screen in Access 2007. There is an option in the properties to set the
height but not the width.

However when I go back into form view it takes up most of the screen. Far,
far bigger than I want.

Please help

It's in the properties of the form's detail section. There is a height
property.

Sorry for the mistake.

Most likely that you are not in the correct focus of your form's property. In
the left top side of your form, there is a small square between the vertical
and horizontal rulers. If it is in focus, a tiny black square will appear. If
it is not in focus, you see a blank. Click on the blank square and a tiny
black square will appear and you should be able to see the Width property
there.

On the On Open event of the form, use the DoCmd.MoveSize Method. With it you
can precisely fix the height, width, and location of the form on the screen.

Check out MoveSize in VBA Help for more info.

What or which does not work. If you use the code using MoveSize, show us the
code.

Is the form view maximized? If yes, can you resize the form with
MinMaxButtons, it is just below the Access MinMaxButtons on the rigth top
side of your screen where you can restore the form back from maximized view.
Thanks for your efforts. Both solutions do not work. I have the Student
2007 edition

The Student Edition of Office 2007 does not come with Access. Are we talking
Access or Excel here?
