Setting specific column size in a table

I want to define the column size manually in a table but can't find the
control to do that. Failing that I want 3 columns to be exactly the same
size ... can you help? I know I can drag them when the double line appears
but I want 3 columns to be uniform without having to eyeball each. Any help
much appreciated. Thanks.

Create ruler guides from the Arrange menu, Layout, Grid guides. Or manually
create a ruler guide, with your cursor on the guide, right-click, format guides.
Use the snap to feature.

Yes I just did that prior to the response ... not exactly what I was looking
for in specfying the column length but that does the trick. Thanks Mary for
confirming my workaround was correct and especially getting back to me so
quickly.
