Setting up Office Basic on new Dell

H

Hawkeye

In setting up Office, the Product Key form never appeared (as it was suppose
it) and it went directly to a "Document 1" page. Is Office actually set up
or should I start over?

If you bought the new DELL with Office basic than it is already
installed and activated for you. You don't have to do anything as you
have paid for this service indirectly!

Did you also get the media for this installation? Id so, you need to
put it away safely as you will need it when you decide to reformat your
disk and start everything again. Also, make a note of the PID key which
is likely to be on the back/side of the case. This is unique to you and
make sure it is not compromised in any way.
