Setting up Project for one-person projects

Hi,

I'm using Project Professional for my one-person projects. Is there any
way to make Project understand that I only have one resource (myself)
so that I don't have to enter my own name each time I want to level
resources? For instance, now, if I enter a bunch of tasks, it will not
level them until I specify that "Rex" will be doing each item.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

No. There is no way to do this. A resource must be assigned to each task
in order or it to know that there is even an overallocation for it to
resolve.

Sorry

Thanks. In that case, is there a way to set myself as the default
resource, so I don't have to type my name in each time?

TIA,

Rex

No,

But you can either fill down your name in the Resource Names column or
select all tasks before assigning yourself in the assign resources dialog so
that you quickly add your self to all tasks.

Hi Rex,

Select all non-summary tasks
select all
Click the Resource allocation button on the toolbar
Click rex
Click assign
