Settings don't stay with doc.

OS X.5.6 MS Word version 12 FORMAT-Paragraph-Line and page breaks
reverts back to default when the doc is reopened.
Preferences - Spelling and Grammar reverts back to default.
i.e. style of writing changes from Technical to Standard.

Format>Paragraph>Line and Page Breaks are PARAGRAPH properties that are
stored in the style, and also stored in each paragraph if they're different.

Which style is involved? If you have Tools>Templates and
Add-ins>Attach..."Automatically update styles on open" turned on, this will
replace the styles with a copy from the template on document open, reversing
any changes you made to the styles in the document.

If the document is in a format that does not support Paragraph Properties,
there will be none when you re-open the document.

If the document is corrupt, the properties may go read-only.

The Spelling preferences are saved on a per-document basis. You must SAVE
the document after setting them.
