Shadows on 07

Hi
I created an S image through Adobe Illustrator and saved in TIFF format.
When i upload it to publisher and add a shadow the whole S box becomes white
on my PDF view( the S is still there but it is surrounded with what looks
like a rectangular text box) But in Publisher the S has a shadow with a
transparent backgound. Why does my pdf view show diffrent than publisher?

Gotta ask why you are not saving the S image in Illustrator. Is there a
particular reason it needs to be imported into Publisher before you print as a
PDF?

Have you tried a .png extension?

Have you tried to import the S image into Publisher as a vector? You wouldn't
have the transparency issue if the S image was a .wmf or .emf.

Alternatively, why you aren't creating the shadow in Illustrator too.
But yes, TIFF is a silly format to use when exporting from a vector
graphics program.
