Shared Borders and White Space

J

JA

Hi,

I am trying to put my own content into shared borders in FP 2000. There is
white space around the outer edges of the page. I can change the page set up
to 0,0 for the top border and it will be OK, but only for that page. If I
create another page, I have to set the page properties again.

Is there a way to do this so that it will apply to all pages?

Thanks,

JA

You need to set margins on all pages individually
- or use Search & replace

Stefan,

The borders aren't live yet. They are going to be on over 2000 pages, so I
don't want to do them one-by-one. Surely there is a way! But thanks for the
idea.

Well, I've got all my shared border problems figured out now, except one -
the left border will not stretch vertically on my server. It will do it on
the designer's computer, and on his server, but not on mine. It will do it
on my server when it is part of a full template page, but not when it is a
shared border.

All the tables and background images that need to be are set to 100% height.
Any ideas what else it could be? It's on an IIS 4 server with FP 2000.

Thanks,

JA

The left shared border is just a table built by FP
- open your browse and view source
If the content is a table you can set it any way you want

PS

table height (and 100% height) is not consistently supported by all browsers
