Shared borders

I am working on a project for class. I am in Navigation view, and the
assignment tells me to click on Format and then Shared Borders. However,
shared borders is ghosted out and i cannot select it. What have i done
wrong? Amy insight? Thanks in advance..

Nevermind. Go to Page Options in Tools menu, and check Shared Borders in
Authoring Tab. Duh!
