Sharing attachments in Tasks

I've been sharing my tasks folder with others (not on a network) and everything is fine except that attachments
in Notes are duplicated when someone makes an alteration to a task and it returns to me. Thus the attachments
in a particular task multiply each time a task is edited. Any ideas how to stop this from happening?

You're not making any sense here (at least not to me)
1) How are you sharing when you are not on a network?
2) Notes cannot have attachments so let alone they are even duplicated as
well
3) Who makes the edits? On the original or on a duplicate?

Hi Road
Thanks for replying even if my question was incomprehensible
I meant that I am not on a local network- we're on different lines at different locations. The others have editorial status and I am the administrator. In Outlook 2000, you can attach documents in the Notes category of a task. I attach Word and excel documents. The others do not edit these although they do alter things like dates or comments in other parts of the task. I think its when they do this and the task is shared back to me, that duplication of the attachments occurs. I wonder if this is happening because sharing is designed for local networks using a shared workspace for documents?? Any ideas?
