Shift + Click scrollbar does not work in Office 2007

In most Microsoft products, including previous versions of Microsoft Office
and IE7, the functionality exists to Shift + Click the scrollbar to jump to
the position the mouse clicks at, or to jump to an arbitrary point on the
scrollbar.

IN Office 2007 suite products, this functionality does not work. Is there a
way to enable this or is it either a bug in Office 2007, or are Microsoft
dropping this useful functionality?

Many thanks,
Daz.

Not sure of the answer to that, but you can rightclick and choose Scroll Here
from the pop up menu to accomplish the same thing.

Yes you are correct, however even that does not behave as expected: when in a
long word document, right-click scroll-here jumps to the top of the page that
the point is at, not the point itself (unless you are already on that page).

Plus right-click scroll here is not available in some other apps that also
support shift+click on the scrollbar, like Chrome.

Therefore this is officially, as far as I'm concerned, a mild annoyance!
