Shortcut to GAL on desktop

Does anyone know the shortcut parameters that could be
used to create a shortcut on a users desktop that when
run would bring up the outlook addressbook. MAPI based
profile to exchange server.

There is no command line argument that you could feed to Outlook to show the
Global Address List. About the best one could do is a Windows Script
Host/VBScript file that uses Collaboration Data Objects to display it.
However, depending on what version of Outlook and patch level, it might not
be a good solution since MS has rev'd CDO.DLL to display a warning dialog to
the user that a unsolicited program might be trying to access the address
book and cause additional confusion that they might have a worm or virus.
