Shouldn't automatic timings disable the space bar?

When I use the automatic timings on slides in a presentation, it disables the
tab, but the space bar can still be used to advance slides. Can anything be
done to prevent this?

Go to the slide show menu and choose Set Up Show. Check the box for Browsed
at a Kiosk. With this checked you will have to have everything done with
automatic timings or with buttons and hyperlinks because the mouse won't do
anything (except to click on buttons and hyperlinks) and the keyboard won't
do anything (except to hit Escape to exit).
