Showing the display text from a drop down in an expression box

Alex Angas

Hello,

I'm creating an InfoPath 2007 form to be deployed to SharePoint Forms
Services. It has two views.

On the first view is a drop down field. On the second I need to show the
display text for the selected item of the drop down field.

I've tried an expression box so far but this only shows the chosen value
from the dropdown and not the display text. I've also looked at this from
custom VBScript code but only the value seems to be accessible.

Any ideas on how this can be done?

Thank you,

Alex.

Alex:

If you are manually entering the values into the dropdown, then there is no
way that i know of. Instead of manually populating the list, use either an
xml file or elements in your main datasource. then you can use filters to
display "Display" where "value" = x

hope this helps

Ed
